Four Healthy Fat Foods You Should Add To Your Diet.


If there is anything we know for sure, fat will make you gain weight. The question is, what types of fat are healthy enough to incorporate into our diet, daily? The good news is, there are many different foods we can choose from.

  1. Many nuts are high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fat. This means that they have the ability to lower your bad cholesterol levels.

  2. Safflower oil, sunflower seed oil, grapeseed oil, and olive oil are high in Omega 3 and 6. In addition, they have the ability to lower your blood pressure,

  3. Avocados are high in fat. Yes! Good fat! They too yield a good source of Omega 3, monounsaturated fat, and will help reduce bad cholesterol.

  4. Salmon and mackerel also provide a good source of healthy fat (monounsaturated fat) and are high in Omega 3 and 6.


The next time you reach for a snack or food that is high in fat and calories, be mindful of the long-term effects they will have on your health. The food we choose should work for us, not against us.
