Who Said That Doing The Same Thing Over And Over Again And Expecting Different Results Is Insanity?
I am almost certain that someone you know or you may have repeated this quote For those of us who are not sure, the definition of insanity is, "a severly disordered state of mind usually occuring as a specific disorder." https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/insanity The key word here is "disorder." When a person is in a state of disorder, they tend to make decisions that may cause them to repeat the same mistake more than once. This may be why some would argue that the quote is a reasonable assumption.
There are so many people who have chosen to eat food that is extremely unhealthy but it taste so darn good! Everytime they finish eating that particular meal, they feel like they have been struck by a mac truck. Yet, they'll plan to have it again, soon. This is sometimes in spite of a doctor's orders.
People should be able to choose to live their lives on their own terms. However, choosing to eat food for pleasure only while expecting different results is not only Insane, it will cause disorder in your mind, body, and spirit.
We must seek the help we need to create order not disorder in our lives.
